Two-Day Bush Survival Course
This trip normally runs between March and November.
This is a trip into a beautiful wilderness location in the Blue Mountains, staying in your own tent, seeing places and things most tourists will never see.
Bushcraft skills you will learn:
- Techniques to shelter from the elements
- Finding and collecting water even without a creek, and how to purify it
- Creating fire by friction, flint and steel, and other improvised methods
- Bush tucker plants and medicines
- Making natural cordage
- Campfire cooking
- Off track navigation with map and compass
- Navigation using the sun and stars
- What to do when you are lost
- Skills for when things go wrong
We will help you select your equipment and emergency kit for future adventures. We will also teach you loads of good stuff about the Blue Mountains environment.
With this 2 day, one night weekend bush survival course you will also receive a booklet of essential bushcraft knowledge and tips.
The walk in and out for this course is reasonably short, only about 30 minutes each way. We provide all the food required. Please let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking.
Our Bush Survival, Bush Tucker and Navigation courses are led by an experienced team of outdoor guides. They share the bushcraft skills they have developed to stay alive while walking, climbing, canyoning and skiing in Australia, Europe, Central & South America, the Himalayas and Alaska.
