Claustral Canyon
To do this extreme canyoning adventure you need to have very high fitness levels and previous abseiling and canyoning experience. It is critical that you talk to a staff member prior to booking this trip.
After a swim and downclimb we arrive at the famous abseil point into the vertical tunnels of the ‘Black Hole of Calcutta’. This comprises three very spectacular waterfall abseils that follow one after the other, culminating in a narrow 20-metre swim. A truly fantastic experience.
Soon after the swim we reach the junction of Ranon Brook, and from here it is another kilometre or so of wonderful canyoning. Following a rest at Thunder Canyon junction, there is more excitement with water jumps, slides, downclimbs and swims before we reach the Rainbow Ravine exit point and our famous lunch .
From here it is a solid 2.5-hour uphill walk back to the car park for a well-earned drink and snack.
