Abseiling and Rock Climbing Combo
9:00am - 5:00pm
Experience both activities in one day. We start the day with our Mini Jump Abseil, starting at 5 metres and moving through to 30 metre high cliffs.
After lunch we start the afternoon with a lesson on Rock Climbing technique before completing several single pitch climbs.
This trip has been designed as an introduction into the vertical world of rock.
All day adventure includes lunch and equipment.
Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure
9:00am - 1:00pm
A great introduction to rock climbing
On our half day introduction to rock climbing, you will discover that climbing is not only about strength, but also technique.
You will climb novice friendly cliffs under the professional supervision of your qualified climbing instructors. They will explain the finer techniques of climbing and show you how to climb efficiently.
The emphasis of this day is on 'let's have fun' and 'learn as you climb'. It's also an excellent way for a group of friends to discover the thrill of climbing.
If you like it, you can follow it up with our Two Day Rock Climbing, Private Instruction or Guided Climbs.
Full-Day Rock Climbing Adventure
9.00am - 5:00pm
Our most popular rock climbing course!
This day is an extension of our half-day. After our tasty and healthy lunch, you'll climb more rock, learning more about technique and the different types of moves required.
As with the half day the emphasis is on fun and learning as you climb. You can follow this day with our Two Day Rock Climbing, Private Instruction or Guided Climbs.
Two-Day Rock Climbing Course
This course is designed for people who really want to get into rock climbing.
Whether you have some indoor climbing experience or none at all, this course teaches you how to be a "confident seconder" when climbing with experienced friends.
You will learn about anchor selection and usage, methods for tying into the rope and anchors, belaying techniques, gear selection, self-rescuing, guide book usage and route selection. You will also learn climbing techniques for varying terrain such as slabs, cracks, walls and overhangs.
(2 people from $295 each)
If you need an instructor for intense 1:1 instruction, this is the best option.
One to one instruction is the very best learning method. You will find that in one intensive day your instructor will be able to design a day of activity around your needs. You choose the date, the time and what you want to learn and we provide an expert to suit.
With your own personal instructor, you can go over anything related to climbing: lead climbing, anchor systems, use of equipment, running belays, multi-pitch climbing, crack climbing, face climbing, sport climbing, rescue techniques, aid climbing, training programmes etc.
Classic Blue Mountains Guided Climbs
From half a day to full day.
Experience classic Blue Mountains climbs with your own guide!
Guided climbing will take you on the adventurous classic ascents of the Blue Mountains area.
A guided climb is the perfect short break or the ideal way to see the best climbs with a professional who knows the Mountains.
Our selection of climbs ranges from beginners half day trips to long, adventurous multi-day expeditions into remote corners of the Blue Mountains.
What Equipment Do I Need?
It's best to wear light, comfortable clothing for rock climbing.
We supply all safety equipment; helmet, harness, ropes etc.
We also supply special rock climbing shoes. These are designed with a super sticky rubber compound sole for amazing grip on the smallest of ledges… even tiny rock crystals!
High 'n Wild use only qualified, professional rock climbing guides.
Each has climbed extensively throughout the Blue Mountains and has a thorough knowledge of the area so they can choose the ideal climbs for you.
Many have also climbed overseas, including Europe, USA and The Himalaya.
