Help support the Blue Mountains recover from bushfires on the weekend of Feb 29 - March 1

  • Home Adventure Aid

The Blue Mountains is one of the world’s premier destinations for outdoor adventure activities, with more than a million hectares of unspoilt wilderness, beautiful sandstone cliffs and over 900 slot canyons to explore.

The recent fires however have severely impacted both the environment and the local businesses that rely on visitors coming here for nature and adventure experiences.

That’s why we’ve joined up with other local adventure companies in Adventure Aid, an initiative to raise funds for projects aimed at restoring damaged areas and ensuring safety for visitors to the National Park.

On the weekend of February 29 – March 1, participating adventure tourism companies will donate all revenue from their Adventure Aid activities to these organisations running restoration projects:

NSW Canyoning Association & Canyoncare
https://nswcanyoning.org.au/
The NSW Canyoning Association aims to promote a code of ethics for canyoners and care for the environment. They work alongside with National Parks and are responsible for running Canyoncare.

CragCare
https://www.facebook.com/cragcare/
Cragcare are a volunteer run organisation that work on projects such as installing infrastructure and upgrading tracks to climbing areas, and who also promote conservation of these areas and caring for the local environment.

Mount Wilson/Irvine RFS
https://www.mtwilson.com.au/
The Mt Wilson RFS will be assessing tracks to canyons in Mt Wilson and Wollangambe, and making them safe for us to be able to access and enjoy those areas once more.
